USD/CAN 3 Month Close

Exchange Rate is Way Down

Monday, June 26th, 2006

As of July the 1st I will be adjusting my consulting rates and the price of my web directory and article site submissions.

Here on SEOCompany.ca and my other sites all my business is done in US dollars. With the huge drop in the conversion rate from US to Canadian dollars in the last 2 years I have been taking a big hit. The rate has just gone down down down.

See this weeks daily closes.

Back in Jan 18th 2002 one US dollar was worth $1.6125 Canadian. Even if you just look back in the past 12 months there has been a huge change. May 2005 the monthly closing was 1.2552 where May of this year the monthly closing was 1.1015. That a different of $1,537 Canadian for every $10,000 US you convert.

Check out this years closing rate summary.

While no one really knows where the enchange rate will be next month the trend for the last few years has been downward for the CDN dollar.
