Automatic Social Bookmark Submission

Saturday, December 9th, 2006

Have you tried the Socializer plugin for wordpress yet? Remember what Socializer does? It is just a wordpress plugin for easy social bookmarking.

Well now I have found even a better one - OnlyWire.

onlywire

Just like socializer, OnlyWire allows users to submit your articles and web pages to multiple social bookmarking engines at once. The main difference between these two tools are, OnlyWire is a lot better because it can automatically bookmark to 15 updated social bookmarking sites.

Here is the list of those 15 sites: Backflip, Blinklist, Blogmemes, del.icio.us, Feedmelinks, Furl, Linkroll, Looklater, ma.gnolia, Maple, Markaboo, Rawsugar, Shadows, Simpy and Wink.

How to Setup OnlyWire?

1. Register at OnlyWire for a FREE account.
2. Login and Submit the username and password of the social bookmarking sites.
3. Save your ID & password
4. Drag a Drop your OnlyWire bookmark link in your browser’s toolbar.
5. Now you can use the link to bookmark your site using OnlyWire.
6. Go to the page that you would like to bookmark, then click on the OnlyWire link on browser’s toolbar. Depending on your link type (standard or frame), it will open a new page or frame header.
7. Now enter your tags and comments, then submit.

All your previous tags will be recorded. Your page title and URL will automatically be inserted. You can also select your choice of social bookmark sites to be used. By default all of them will be preselected.

I think this is a must have tool for all bloggers in today’s blog network arena!

Blog Social Bookmark

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

Many of you like to put a lot of social book marking buttons at the bottom of every post in your blog. It is rather messy if you do not control the number of buttons. So I figured that Socializer might be a good solution for your blog.

socializer

Socializer is all-in-1 social book marking button for your wordpress blog. It replaces all the social bookmark buttons (such as digg, simpy, Del.icio.us, Technorati etc.) with only one Socializer button. When a visitor clicks on that button, it will lead him straight to a huge list of social bookmark database (44 sites). There, your visitor can bookmark your page at their choice of social book marking site.

Socializer claims that the submission is completely manual. The only downside of the script is, you will have to open 10 new windows if say you want to bookmark a page in 10 social book marking site.

Lookout & Outlook

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

My Sent Items box in MS Outlook contains more than 15,000 items and when I use the Outlook search it searches from the oldest to the newest (any one know how to change that). Searching for emails where I couldn’t remember the email address used to be some thing I feared — well until I found Lookout.

If you have any problems finding past emails you are going to love this product. After doing a index of all my folders (that took 30 mins) I started searching for an email I just couldn’t find. I had it in front of me with in 20 secs.

Lookout is very fast and I can search all my Outlook and it will do a full search of my 1.2GB PST email file now with in 5 secs (yes I know it’s to big). The search command line allows you to search the contents of subject, to, from, cc, or bcc fields (to:moo, from:moo etc), and even the attachment names. You can search between dates, in your Outlook contacts by email address or phone number (phone:800).

Here are Lookout’s Query Syntax:

Lookout’s query syntax has many features:

Lookout also supports more advanced queries like:

You can add Fields to any Lookout query:
