Sell Page Rank
Google says to sell Page Rank (PR) is a no no. I have been looking at the
different auctions and sites that sell Page Rank links and thought you would be
interested to know what pagerank links sell for, the best place to get them and what
Page Rank values are the best buys.
Page Rank is usally sold in short text ad links about 30 or 40 charactors long. In most cases the main thing that is noted where a text ad link is sold is the Page Rank of that link and the total number of outbound links.
Google May be Watching
When people sell text ad links they don't let you know where they are from until you have paids. So other words they don't advertise what the site domain is, that is if they are smart.
Revalueing the Links to 50 Outbounds
I am revaluing the below auctioned pages to 50 outbound links with my 50/TOL = Link Value calculation. You will find the explanation of the formula in my Page Rank Calculation article. There I note how many of these links it would take to get a PR(x+1) and a PRx and a PR(x-1) according to Wakfer's Google PageRank & How to Get It chart.
Explaination of the Columns
The following explains what each column means in the following entry:
3 - PR08/40; Cost/mon:$0150; 50TOL:3.75; PR09:26.9; PR8:4.8; PR7:0.89; PR7Cost:$133 Linkadage
The 3 - PR8/40 shows the auction is for 3 PR8's that each have 40
outbound links.
The Cost/mon:$0310 shows the cost of these links is
$300 per month.
The 50TOL:3.75 shows that this PR8's link has the value of 3.75 PR8
links when the links were revalued to 50 outbound links. The links are revalued
by 50/TOL = Link Value so in this case 50/40 = 1.25 and that is
multiplied by the number of links (3 in this case) to give us a value of 3.75.
The PR9:26.9 or shows that it would take 26.9 of these PR8 links to get a
PR9. The PR8:4.8 shows it would take 4.8 of these PR8 links to get a PR8.
The PR7:1.3 shows it would take 1.3 of these PR8 links to get a PR7.
The PR7Cost:$133 shows the cost is $133US for the links required to get
give your site page a PR7 if you purchased links at the same value as this one.
This dollar amount can be used to gauge where this auction was a deal or not.
The PR Auctions
When auctions are current the FlashBuy or BuyItNow price is used even thought the reserve may be reached and the auction may not go this high. If auctions are current and there is no FlashBuy or BuyItNow I will estimate what it will go for and place the auction in italic.

Look Out for Crooks
A bit off topic but probley good information for the buying PR crowd. There are some crooks out there that are forwarding there domain to a high PR domain and then after a PR update removing the forward. They end up with the same PR as the domain that they were forwarded to until the next PR update.
Then they flog their links to the unsuspected and run with the money. So how can you make sure when you are buying a text ad link on a site that this is not what they are doing. Well first check out the links on Yahoo. Check the PR of some of the links to see if they have a number of high PR8's (They need about 18 medium value PR8's to get a PR8) Second do a related:www.example.com and if the first link that comes up in the results is not the same domain then you know you were just about had.
Does Internal Linking Structure Matter
When you are analizing links some people will tell you that a link is a link, whether it is a internal or an external link. So if you are considering purchasing a page for PR value that has 5 external links but it has 30 or 40 internal links then this is an issue you need to address.
Some hold that if the site has a link structure that is fully meshed then these internal links don't get passed the same PR vote as an external link. They also say if there are lots of internal links that are not fully meshed on the page you are considering to place your text link ad, you need to carefully consider the link structure of the site.
Others claim that all links internal or external receive an equal part of the pages PR vote. So in the above case you get 1/45th of a PR vote not 1/5th of the PR vote. I don't take a position concerning this, but bring it to your attention and note that it is something you do need to consider when purchasing links for their PR value.
