Contact Form
Contact Form
A contact form is a form that goes on the contact page for a website. This form generally has a place for a user to put their name, email address, phone number and a box for their question.
Why Use A Contact Form?
A contact form is used to make it easier for customers to contact someone regarding products or services on a site. Without a contact form a customer will likely have to copy the email address off of a site or click on the email address on a site in order to open a page to ask a question. Having a contact form eases the process of asking a question or making a comment about a site.
Setting Up A Contact Form
Setting up a contact form requires some coding knowledge. The form itself is run with a script. There are numerous free scripts available that just need to be installed in order to work properly. In addition to the contact fields on the form it may also be wise to use image verification to reduce spam contacts. Robots and even people fill out contact forms repeatedly in an attempt to spam other websites. Image verification, also known as captcha, requires someone type letters into a box that match the letters shown on the form. This stops robots from being able to flood the email accounts by submitting numerous contact forms.
