Link Building
Link Building
Link Building is the process of gaining inbound links to a web site. Inbound links are links on other sites that link to the site in question. Link building can be accomplished several ways depending on the webmaster's budget and strategy
Gaining Voluntary Links
One of the most affordable ways to build links is to get other webmasters to voluntarily link to your site. This is done by creating a site with useful, quality content that other sites will naturally want to link to. One way to accomplish this is to create a blog with quality posts.
Hiring An SEO Company To Build Links
Hiring an SEO company is one way to accomplish link building. SEO companies can build links by submitting the site to directories or by finding other similar themed websites to link to their client's site. For some webmasters hiring an SEO company to do all of the link building is too expensive. For this reason SEO companies may offer a link building consulting package which is also referred to as an off page consulting package. These packages are designed to help create a link building strategy for a specific site and to answer link building questions which can help webmasters avoid pitfalls.
Exchanging Links To Build Links
Link exchanges used to to be very useful and was a popular way to build links. With the changes in search engine algorithms the value of an inbound link from an exchange has diminished greatly. Some webmasters have turned to three way linking for this reason. Three way linking is not a direct exchange, instead link partner A links to B but B links back to A from a third site C.
